Role Description:
- Aligning the project’s schedule and scope with existing organizational frameworks and organizing project status meetings.
- Coach and support technology teams in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, and SAFe, methodologies such as self-organization, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and coordinate project management for multiple teams (2-3) across the assigned program.
- Support teams with stakeholder management, project coordination and delivery management.
- Identify and manage potential risks throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Facilitate PI Planning event; drives the Vision, Roadmap, and Backlogs through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings. Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives.
- Execute, document, track and report the status of deliverables, action items and decisions to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and maintain program/project schedule along with other project management documentation such as stakeholder analysis, communication plan, decision log, action tracker etc.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and periodic reports including Program Status reports for Executive Leadership Team.
- Conduct status meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, which includes the creation of agendas, tracking of action items, and identification of relevant topics for discussion
- Interface with Product Owners and others to remove barriers and obstacles for the team
- Builds Team Culture and Delivery Efficiency. Solves team conflicts with good communication skills
Desired Skills:
- 2-4+ years of IT Project Management experience managing multi-year programs/projects.
- Successful experience in Agile Programs at scale (up to 2 Scrum Teams)
- Has experience in managing multiple projects, and cross-functional, global, and cross-cultural teams.
- Able to coach and mentor teams on Scrum & Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) – preferred not mandatory
- Has Scrum (CSM) and Scaled Agile Framework Certifications (SAFe) – Preferred but not mandatory
- A problem solver, self-starter, and proactive personality. Ability to master both detail and the larger organizational context
- Able to communicate at all appropriate levels: Team, Management, and Executive
- Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience in SDLC and project management methodologies.
- Ability to drive Delivery to Schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline or a BA with equivalent software experience
